Avantech, North America’s largest tool-builder for the rotational molding industry, was recently recognized for Product of the Year tooling for the third year in a row.
The recognition came at the recent Association of Rotational Molders (ARM) Rotoplas event in Rosemont, Ill. Avantech manufactured a combination of 11 CNC machined and cast aluminum tools for Centro, Inc., to produce rotationally molded components for the Product of the Year-winning Intimidator GC1K side-by-side utility vehicle, which was also recognized at the Rotoplas event.
“We worked very closely with Centro’s engineering team to analyze product design to build tooling to meet Intimidator’s exacting needs,” said Joe Kroll, Avantech account manager. “Using both our cast aluminum and CNC machined capabilities, we were able to meet product needs and deliver tooling within a very tight delivery schedule.”
Avantech tooling has also received the Product of Year distinction at the ARM event in 2015 and 2016 for the KI “Sway” chair and Tenjam “DuraFLEX” products—both produced from Avantech tooling.
“We’re very proud to deliver award-winning tooling to the industry,” said Tom Innis, Avantech president. “This is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of the Avantech team, and of the ‘Think, Create, Advance’ mindset we employ in collaboration with our customers.”
